Splat the Cat来自美国 HarperCollins 出版的王牌分级读物 I Can Read 系列，畅销欧美20多年。

原作者是Rob Scotton，英国知名绘本作者，《纽约时报》畅销童书作家。

Splat(啪嗒猫)是一只在上幼儿园的小黑猫，这个系列的故事基本都围绕着他的校园和日常生活趣事展开，滑稽幽默，受到孩子们的广泛喜爱。

故事包含友情、勇气、家庭、努力、冒险、追求等主题，简单有趣的日常故事里，对孩子产生潜移默化的积极影响。

这套《Splat the Cat》在I Can Read系列中属于Level 1，I Can Read 系列有科学的分级体系，帮助不同语言水平的孩子找到适合自己的读物。

这套书部分书目背后特别标注了对应的GRL指数。GRL，Guided Reading Level，国外常用的语言难度标准之一。
